WatchWatch
An early build of Spendly. The UI is still fairly similar to what you see in the video. The nav has been updating to include sub-navs for view options. Also, we’re working on a more simplified view option, which will be similar to an iPhone style view. We’re thinking that view will be perfect for Fluid Apps as well.

The 4-day Rule
A rule to live by: When you find something that you want to buy—sometimes even thinking you need to have it right now—stop and wait. Wait 4 days before you allow yourself to buy the item. You’ll probably find that after 4 days, it’s more obvious that you don’t need it.

I love...

To compete with paper, Spendly Online will focus on the following: Make it super easy to create entries from anywhere...

Apparently going vegan and not doing anything save you money. I’ll admit, I cut my own hair. I’m not sure if I could give up steak.

Spendly Online is Coming
The world of Spendly has been going through a major transformation. I’d like to give a brief overview of what’s been going on around here for the past few months, and where things are heading. We launched the Spendly iPhone app in mid-2009. Spendly had been living in my ‘do-this-someday’ pile for too long. Designing the app was great—iPhone apps are simply fun to design....
